This is a personal portfolio website operated by Amr Madkour, based in Schiedam, Netherlands. This page explains what data this site handles and how.
Analytics
This site does not use Google Analytics or any other tracking or analytics service. No data about your visit is collected or stored.
Cookies
This site uses one functional cookie to remember your language preference (English, Arabic, or Dutch). It contains no personal information. Your theme preference (light or dark mode) is saved locally in your browser. No advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking cookies are used.
A notice is shown on your first visit to let you know. You can dismiss it and it will not appear again.
Data Storage
This site stores nothing about you on a server. Two features involve third-party services:
- AI chat widget ("Ask Amr") — messages you type are sent to Google's Gemini API to generate a response. They are not logged or stored by this site. Chat history lives only in your browser's session memory and disappears when you close the tab.
- Meeting bookings — scheduling is handled entirely by Cal.com. When you book a call, your name, email, and chosen time are collected and stored by Cal.com under their own privacy policy.
Emails you send go directly to Gmail and are used only to reply to you.
Your Rights
If you are in the EU or EEA, you have rights under the GDPR: access, erasure, rectification, data portability, and the right to object to processing. Since this site stores no personal data, there is little to exercise these rights against — but if you have any concerns, feel free to reach out directly.
